The prompt for this video assignment was “Choose something that you love and make a video of it! You can take pictures or videos and combine them into one final video. Try to find music that has to do with the thing you love and add it to the video. Make sure to add a title and give credit to those outside sources!”
For this assignment I used a video that I had taken last month in Myrtle Beach, SC. Because the description for this assignment was to take and share a video of something that we love, I used a video of the crashing waves on the beach because I love the beach. This tells a story of what I like to do during the Summer and whenever I get the chance, and that is go to the beach and be near the water. This video truly shows something that I love and means a lot to me.
In order to make this video, I first took it using my iPhone, then via Bluetooth, sent it to my computer so that I could edit it and turn it into a more shareable video. I once again used iMovie to edit it. I imported the clip into iMovie form my desktop which looked like this:
Once I had the video in iMovie, I could begin to edit it and make it look a little better. Because the video was originally taken on an iPhone, it was a little blurry so I used iMovie to enhance it and make the equality better. You do that by going to File>Optimize Movie. Once I had the video looking as it should, it was time to add an introduction seen and a credit sequence. Because this is a beach video, I used the underwater intro and credit themes. Once I had those in my video, I had to export the movie to my desktop and upload it to YouTube.
The final product is embedded below. Enjoy!
